In the Castro Laboreiro area, typical dishes include Castro Laboreiro kid goat meat and ham steaks. In the Serra do Soajo/Amarela area, many typical dishes are prepared, but Papas de Sarrabulho (a type of blood pudding), Rojões (pork stew), Cozido à Portuguesa (Portuguese stew), and lamprey stand out. Regional sweets include Charutos de Ovos Moles (egg yolk pastries), Rebuçados dos Arcos (Arcos sweets), and assorted sweets.
